Set-up
Following are a few tips that will ensure a smooth, safe, and
efficient set-up.
-
·
PAYMENT IS DUE IN CASH OR MONEY ORDER BEFORE
SET-UP.
-
·
We usually only require a deposit on major holidays, when
demand exceeds our supply. We will request $100 to hold
your rental, which will be applied toward the total.
-
·
Your slide will arrive sanitized or will be sanitized on
site. Keep in mind, it may arrive wet, as it may have just
been picked up from a previous rental.
-
·
We need a clear pathway to the set-up location. Please make
sure the pathway is not obstructed by vehicles, trampolines,
etc.
-
·
Optimally, a level, grassy surface is the best ground. Make
sure the site is clear of any debris, such as excessive cut
grass, animal excrement, twigs, crawfish mounds, etc. Make
sure there is nothing protruding out of the ground which
might puncture the unit.
-
·
Ants, spiders, and other little critters love water. We
recommend that you treat the set-up area with pest control
for a more enjoyable experience.
-
·
For slide placement, we need to be within 75 feet of the
wall plug-in for proper operation. A generator would
also be a viable option. We need a dedicated 20-amp circuit
per blower. So, if you are renting one of our 22’x60’
slides, 2 separate, 20-amp circuits are required.
Please know in advance into which outlet(s) we will be
connecting. This is the most common issue
contributing to delays in the set-up process.
-
·
Please be aware of overhead objects (tree limbs, power
lines, etc.) that might pose a hazard to the inflatable, and
ultimately, to the user.
-
·
Approximate set-up time on the 18’ slides is 30 minutes. All
of the other slides take about 45 minutes to 1 hour,
provided you are prepared for our arrival. Our time is very
precious. If you are unprepared, be prepared to pay a $25
per half hour surcharge for any delays that would extend
our time beyond our approximate set-up times. Please make
sure that 1) payment is promptly made in full upon our
arrival, 2) our pathway to the set-up site is clear, and not
obstructed by objects or vehicles, 3) you know exactly into
which spigot and power outlet(s) we will connect (outlets
with the sufficient 20-amp per blower rating), and 4) there
is nothing underground that can be punctured by our stakes.
-
·
For the 2-lane Tropical and 2-lane Roaring River, we need a
minimum of 70 feet in length and 30 feet in width to
accommodate these slides. For the 18’ single lane slides,
we need a minimum of 35 feet in length and 28 feet in width.
The Corkscrew requires at least 38’ in length and 39’ in
width. This includes the space needed to tether out the
units.
-
·
For your safety, we secure the unit(s) with 36” spikes,
which are driven about 2 feet into the ground. Make sure
the placement of the inflatable will not interfere with any
buried electrical, gas, septic, or water lines.
-
·
We will need a water spigot.
-
·
Once unit is set into place, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
MOVE!
-
·
We provide tarps, extension cords, and water hoses.
-
·
It is normal to hear or to feel air escaping from the seams
once unit is inflated.
Rain-outs/Other circumstances
-
·
In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen
circumstances, you are welcome to call and cancel your
reservation at no charge, even if it is on the same day as
your event. As a courtesy, we will monitor the weather
forecast to help you plan. However, if the weather report
is forecasting rain, and you choose to let us set-up, rain
or shine, there are no refunds once we have
begun.
-
·
Please shut off blowers during high winds and/or heavy
rains.
Take-Down
-
·
Please leave the unit inflated after use.
-
·
If using a generator with our unit, please have the
generator available to re-inflate for the take-down. We
need to have excess water drained off in order to pick up
the slide unit.
-
·
We will clean the unit.
-
·
We need a clear pathway to the take-down location. Please
make sure the pathway is not obstructed by vehicles or other
objects that might inhibit us from retrieving our equipment.
This will allow us to come and go without interrupting you.
-
·
Make sure vehicles are clear of hoses and extension cords,
and please do not run over our equipment with a vehicle.
